St Mary's is a focal point for the lower village.
The Lich Gate

The Lich Gate is the village magazine for Almondsbury in South Gloucestershire. The Lich Gate is published by Almondsbury PCC and is distributed to all households in the village. Its circulation is approximately 1300 issues. It is produced and distributed entirely by volunteers

The school is located in the village on Sundays Hill and cares for over
250 children aged from 4 to 11yrs. The central Victorian building was
constructed over 120 years ago and is a listed building.
The school has
a strong tradition of music, with a School Choir for years 5 and 6 known as Voices Xtreme www.voicesxtreme.co.uk,
and a Lower School Choir for younger ones. Singing to a high standard
they have won many awards including 'Best Choir' section of the
Thornbury Eisteddfod for three years running, and a rare and
coveted Sing Up PLATINUM award!

A community choir who enjoy meeting to sing a wide variety of music.
The choir comprises of parents, grandparents, ex-pupils, staff,
friends, governors, neighbours and members of the community of
Almondsbury.
We perform three times a year, our last performance being at
Almondsbury School’s Carol Service.

Astrid is cycling around the world for two years from May 2008. Astrid
is doing this for three important reasons:

Leprosy Mission

Deaf Studies Trust - for whom she has worked, and
3. To prove that you don't have to be a teenager to have reckless
ambitions - you can still do that after your 50th birthday!

Formed in 1969 as Patchway North End, they changed to Patchway Old Boys
in 1971and played in the Bristol Suburban League. In 1989 Almondsbury
moved to its present home 'The Field' and became Almondsbury FC. In
2000-2001 Almondsbury won the Bristol Suburban League and gained
promotion to the Gloucestershire County League. In 2004, they were
crowned Champions of the Gloustershire County league and gained
promotion to the Western Football League. For the 2006-07 season, they
are members of the Western Football League Division One

manager is Paul Weeks who joined the club in December 2005 from Bitton.
Almondsbury Town currently play their home matches at Oaklands Park,
